If you are always looking for more ways to “fill the room,” be sure to host an annual “Winner’s Circle” prior to every awards banquet where you invite past volunteer and citizen “winners” to meet the banquet guest speaker and this year’s candidates.
When people know they’ll be mentioned and recognized in a large group and if they are offered special treatment prior to your event, it’s much more difficult for them to decline.
