Executive Energy: How to get it & How to keep it. (#2 in Series)

99.9%
of us didn’t grow up to become chamber or association executives. There were no classes or curriculum offered in college for this career. Therefore many of us got here due to circumstances and not by personal choice.

If we feel we are losing our energy for the job, this just may be the reason; it’s become a job and not a career. There’s no self actualization or real purpose driving us. No real fulfillment.

We can get so busy trying to make ends meet financially, our jobs simply become a means to an end without any real personal satisfaction other than paying for our needs and our toys which are seldom fulfilling on a long-term basis.

We know as executives how important our board planning sessions are to organization success so why not us? Why not prioritize our own personal planning session? What about our personal vision, mission and strategic planning session? How did that get left out?

Is it time to look at our own plan?
