FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
The Chamber Membership Sales Symposium is first and foremost for Chamber of Commerce Membership Directors and Chamber Executives who are required to sell Chamber memberships.
Staff Members and Key Volunteers who participate in membership sales at any level are highly encouraged to attend. Metro Chamber sales teams are applauding the symposium as much as executives from one and two-person chamber offices.
The symposium registration fee includes one, two, three or four seats so staff and/or volunteers may attend under one Chamber of Commerce registration.
The program is focused on sales strategies, skills and trends that are working for Chambers of Commerce across North America. The symposium is designed to build and retain a larger membership base including a focus on sales strategies and skills to improve presentations and closings.
These national symposiums are being hosted by local Chambers of Commerce and State Chamber of Commerce Associations on various dates across the United States and Canada. If your state or province is not hosting The Chamber Membership Sales Symposium, look for a location closest to you to attend or ask your state association to host a symposium.
The symposium may be hosted any day of the week and it is recommended to hold the symposium between 1:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to allow travel time across your state.

HOW MUCH TO HOST?
There is no fee for hosting a symposium. If a Chamber hosts the symposium by identifying and acquiring the meeting location, the host Chamber pays no registration fee. The only expense to a host chamber is any cost or fee for the meeting space.
DOES THE HOST CHAMBER SELL REGISTRATIONS?
No. ChamberMentor.com handles all registration sales utilizing Eventbrite.com.(When the symposium is presented in conjunction with a state association conference it then is offered as an option to the conference registration.)
HOW MUCH TO ATTEND?
The Chamber Membership Sales Symposium registration fee is the same as the national average price of one basic membership. The one registration fee includes one, two, three or four people to attend from the same Chamber of Commerce.
Early Bird Registrations are usually offered for a minimum of five weeks for Chambers to save an average of $50 per registration.
CAN I ATTEND A SYMPOSIUM IN ANOTHER STATE?
IS THE SYMPOSIUM GUARANTEED?
Yes. If you don’t feel the price of registration matches the quality of information to increase membership sales by those attending from your Chamber, ask for your money back at the end of the program. It’s just like a membership; if a business joins, attends and doesn’t see the value, give them their money back. (This is another critical lesson discussed in the symposium.)
